The significance of blogging.
Recently I attended Fete Dement, the AIGA West Michigan halloween party. Of the three speakers, I was most moved by the advice of Mig Reyes. He made it very clear to be more vulnerable and to put yourself out there. This is something I’ve heard before, but maybe it takes hearing it from someone with street cred to actually believe it.
He also reiterated the importance of writing as a useful skill for a designer to have. I would say that I’ve heard that quite a few times in the past six months, or so. I’d say my writing is decent, but it could definitely use some fine tuning. So, here I am, prepared to utilize this blog as a blog, rather than a collection of inspiration on the internet.
